Isha Shrestha was one of the first batch students in +2 (Management) and Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) of Prime College. Her area of specialization in BBA was Banking and Finance which helped her to build her career in the banking and financial sector.
Isha was a promising student who had shown a sound performance in academics. A participative student from the beginning, she was a team member of the Girls Basketball Team and participated in many cultural shows. She states that participating in various events helped her to gain confidence in front of the mass. She appreciates Prime’s support toward students which help the students to enhance their careers. She mentioned that Prime has a friendly environment, experienced teachers and guest lecturers who trained her to cope with corporate world. She specifically stated that internship program in the curriculum gave her a chance to learn and work in the real world. This program assisted to increase her Public Relations Skill which ultimately helped in her current job.
After completion of her under-graduation she joined BRS & Neupane Chartered Accountant Co. for 6 months and from 2008 she was working in Laxmi Bank Limited. Recently, she has joined Laxmi Capital market Ltd (100% subsidiary of Laxmi Bank Ltd.) as Officer-RTS. She looks after Laxmi Bank’s Share/Debenture and Portfolio Management. She stated that course taught in her BBA like Portfolio Management, Investment Analysis and Financial Institutions and Markets has helped her in the job.
She has completed Master of Business Studies (MBS) from Shanker Dev College affiliated to Tribhuvan University. She is an active member of Rotary Club of Patan Durbar Square. At last, she cites “You really have to work hard and apply yourself and by applying yourself, working hard and being diligent, you can achieve success.”
